Possible Causes
Using non-HE detergent, excessive detergent quantity, very soft water with normal dosing, blocked pressure system misreading level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If leaking occurs, stop the cycle and unplug the unit.
- Use HE detergent only: Ensure you are using high-efficiency (HE) detergent designed for front-load combos.
- Reduce dosage: Use the minimum recommended amount, especially in soft water areas or for small loads.
- Run rinse-only cycles: To clear existing suds, run one or more rinse/spin cycles without detergent.
- Inspect pressure hose: If oversudsing persists with correct detergent use, check the pressure hose for blockages that could misreport water level.
When to call a technician: Persistent oversudsing with proper detergent may indicate a control or sensor issue requiring service.
