Washer-dryer combo does not fill with water or fills very slowly; IE error appears shortly after cycle start.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close both hot and cold water supply valves before disconnecting hoses.

• 1. Verify water supply:
  • Ensure both hot and cold faucets are fully open.
  • Check that household water pressure is adequate (typically 20–120 psi).
  • Confirm no other fixtures in the home are experiencing low pressure.
• 2. Inspect hoses and screens:
  • Pull the unit forward slightly to access the rear.
  • Disconnect the hot and cold hoses from the back of the washer-dryer.
  • Inspect hoses for kinks or internal collapse; replace if damaged.
  • Look inside the water inlet ports for small metal or plastic screens; remove and clean any sediment or debris with a soft brush.
• 3. Test fill function:
  • Reconnect hoses firmly and open the water valves.
  • Plug the unit in and run a quick wash cycle to see if it fills normally.
• 4. Check/replace the water inlet valve assembly:
  • If the unit still does not fill and you hear no valve click, the LG water inlet valve may be defective.
  • Unplug the unit, remove the top cover (usually two or three screws at the back), and locate the inlet valve where hoses connect.
  • Inspect wiring harness connections for corrosion or looseness.
  • Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open coil indicates a bad valve.
  • Replace the water inlet valve assembly if defective.
• Call a technician if you are not comfortable using a multimeter or removing the top panel.
