- 1. Clean the door gasket:
- Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in a diluted bleach solution or washing machine cleaner.
- Remove any trapped debris.
- 2. Run Tub Clean cycles:
- Use the LG Tub Clean cycle with a washer cleaner or 1 cup of liquid chlorine bleach (if compatible with your model).
- Repeat if odor is severe.
- 3. Clean drain pump filter:
- Open the lower access door, drain residual water, and clean the filter of lint and debris.
- 4. Prevent recurrence:
- Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between uses to allow drying.
