Possible Causes
Clogged inlet filter screens at water valves, Failed cold water inlet valve coil, Low or no household water pressure, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor not registering fill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and close the water supply taps before working on hoses or valves.
- Check household water supply: Ensure both hot and cold faucets feeding the washer are fully open and that other faucets in the home have normal pressure.
- Inspect inlet hoses: Pull the unit forward, turn off water taps, and disconnect the hoses from the rear of the washer. Check the small metal mesh filters inside the Midea inlet valve ports and at hose ends. Rinse debris under running water and reinstall.
- Verify hose kinks: Make sure hoses are not sharply bent or pinched when you push the unit back into place.
- Test a quick cycle: Restore water and power, then run a quick wash. If E1 returns and fill is still slow or absent, the inlet valve assembly may be faulty.
- Advanced check (for experienced DIYers): With power disconnected, remove the top cover, locate the Midea water inlet valve assembly, and test coil resistance with a multimeter. Replace the valve assembly if coils are open or burned.
