Possible Causes
Loose wiring harness between display board and main control board, Oxidized or damaged connectors, Faulty user interface (UI) board, Defective main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the top or front panel to access control boards.
- Access control area: Remove the top cover. On many Midea models, the main PCB is at the rear right and the UI board is behind the front control panel.
- Check harness connections: Carefully unplug and replug the multi-pin connectors between the UI and main board. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
- Inspect for damage: Examine both boards for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or water ingress.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and see if E10 clears. If the error returns, one of the boards may be defective.
- Board replacement: Replace the suspected faulty board (often the main PCB) with a genuine Midea part. Board-level repair is best left to a qualified technician.
