Possible Causes
Overloaded drum, Mixed heavy and light items causing imbalance, Worn suspension rods or dampers, Shipping bolts not removed on new installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not reach into the drum until it has completely stopped and the door is unlocked.
- Redistribute the load: Open the door, remove some items if the drum is tightly packed, and separate heavy items (like towels or jeans) from light ones. Reload evenly around the drum.
- Run spin again: Select a spin-only cycle and observe. If the machine still struggles to balance, try smaller loads.
- Check installation: Confirm that all Midea shipping bolts and transit brackets were removed from the rear of the unit. These must be removed for proper suspension movement.
- Inspect leveling: Use a spirit level on top of the machine. Adjust the front and rear feet so the unit is stable and does not rock.
- Persistent E3: If the error occurs even with small, well-distributed loads, the internal suspension (shock absorbers or springs) may be worn and require replacement.
