Possible Causes

Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Stuck thermostat, Blocked airflow through dryer duct, Control board misreading temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and let the unit cool completely.

  • Clean airflow paths: Remove lint from the lint filter, internal ducts, and fan housing.
  • Inspect NTC sensor: Locate the dryer NTC on the duct, check wiring, and test resistance with a multimeter.
  • Check thermostats: Test continuity of cycling and high-limit thermostats. Replace any that are stuck closed or open incorrectly.
  • Replace NTC or thermostats: Install new Midea parts if tests indicate failure. If E61 persists, the control board may require replacement.
