How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and let the unit cool completely.
- Clean airflow paths: Remove lint from the lint filter, internal ducts, and fan housing.
- Inspect NTC sensor: Locate the dryer NTC on the duct, check wiring, and test resistance with a multimeter.
- Check thermostats: Test continuity of cycling and high-limit thermostats. Replace any that are stuck closed or open incorrectly.
- Replace NTC or thermostats: Install new Midea parts if tests indicate failure. If E61 persists, the control board may require replacement.
