Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve letting water in continuously, Blocked pressure hose causing incorrect level reading, Faulty water level sensor, Main PCB not shutting off valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance immediately and close the water supply taps if water continues to enter the drum.
- Observe behavior: If water keeps filling even when the machine is off, the inlet valve is likely stuck open mechanically.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the top cover and locate the Midea water inlet valve. Check for debris or scale that may prevent the valve from closing.
- Check pressure system: Inspect the pressure hose and sensor as described for E7. A blocked hose can cause the control to think the drum is not full yet.
- Test valve electrically: With power disconnected, measure coil resistance. If coils are in range but valve leaks water when de-energized, replace the valve assembly.
- Do not use until fixed: Overfilling can cause flooding. Replace any faulty components before resuming normal operation.
