Step-by-step checks:

• 1. Clean lint and condenser: Remove and clean the lint filter. If your Neff washer-dryer has a serviceable condenser unit, remove it and flush with warm water to clear lint and detergent residue. Ensure all air channels are clear.
• 2. Check rear and side vents: Make sure the machine has adequate ventilation around it and that any internal ducting is not blocked.
• 3. Access dryer heater: Depending on model, the dryer heater is usually located in a duct at the rear or side. Remove the top and rear panels to locate the heater housing.
• 4. Test heater and thermostats: Disconnect the heater terminals and measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed heater. Check any thermal cut-outs or thermostats mounted on the heater housing for continuity. Replace any open devices with the correct Neff/Bosch parts.
• 5. Check dryer NTC sensor: Locate the dryer temperature sensor (often on the air duct). Measure its resistance at room temperature and compare with specifications. Replace if readings are abnormal.
• 6. Control and wiring: Inspect wiring to the heater and thermostats for burning or loose connections. If all components test good but no power is supplied to the heater, the control board may be faulty.
