Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. Water in the base can contact live parts.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Tilt and drain base: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward (with help) to allow water in the base tray to run out onto towels. This may temporarily clear E13 but does not fix the leak source.
- 2. Inspect door seal: Check the rubber door gasket for tears, holes, or heavy residue. Clean it and ensure the drain holes at the bottom of the seal are clear.
- 3. Check hoses and pump: Remove the front lower panel or rear panel to inspect the sump hose from tub to pump, the pump body, and the drain hose connection. Look for drips or water marks.
- 4. Examine inlet valve and dispenser: Look for leaks around the AquaStop inlet valve and the detergent drawer housing. Overfilling the drawer with detergent can cause water to spill into the cabinet.
- 5. Test again: After drying the base and correcting any obvious leaks, run a short cycle while observing the machine (panels removed if safe) to identify any remaining leaks.
When to call a technician: If you cannot locate the leak or it originates from the tub, bearing seal, or internal heat exchanger, professional repair is recommended.
