Possible Causes
Defective flow meter in AquaStop assembly, Blocked inlet filter affecting flow pulses, Wiring fault between flow meter and control, Control board flow measurement circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Clean inlet filters: As with E02, remove and clean the mesh filters in the AquaStop hose and inlet valve.
- 2. Inspect AquaStop/flow meter: Many Neff units integrate a flow meter in the AquaStop housing. If the machine fills but does not register correct volume, the flow meter may be faulty. Replacement requires fitting a new AquaStop hose assembly.
- 3. Wiring check: Trace the thin wires from the flow meter to the control board. Look for damage or loose connectors.
- 4. Test operation: After cleaning and reassembly, run a test program and observe filling. If E14 recurs and water flow appears normal, the flow meter or control board likely needs replacement.
When to call a technician: Flow meter diagnosis often requires live testing; if unsure, contact a professional.
