• 1. Check door alignment: Close the door slowly and observe if the latch engages centrally with the lock. If the door sags, tighten or adjust the hinge screws.
• 2. Inspect latch hook: Replace the door latch hook if it is worn or bent.
• 3. Test door lock: As with E01/E06, access the lock and test continuity of the lock contacts. Replace if faulty.
• 4. Wiring and control: Ensure the lock feedback wires are intact and firmly connected to the control board.

When to call a technician: If mechanical adjustments and a new lock do not resolve E16, a control board fault may be present.
