Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before adjustments.

Step-by-step checks:

• 1. Check water pressure: If your household pressure is very high, consider fitting a pressure-reducing valve on the supply line to the washer-dryer.
• 2. Partially close tap: Slightly close the water tap feeding the machine to reduce flow and test if E17 disappears.
• 3. Inspect inlet valve and flow meter: Clean filters and check the AquaStop/flow meter as described for E02/E14. Replace the inlet valve assembly if it leaks or does not close properly.

When to call a technician: If E17 persists despite normal water pressure and a new valve, control board diagnosis is required.
