Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply before inspection.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Inspect the door seal: Open the door and carefully pull back the rubber gasket. Look for tears, holes, or splits, especially at the bottom.
- 2. Remove foreign objects: Check the gap between the drum and seal for bra wires, coins, or other sharp items. Remove them carefully.
- 3. Clean drain holes: At the bottom of the seal there are small drain holes. Clear them of lint and debris so water can flow back into the tub.
- 4. Check detergent use: Ensure you are using HE (low-suds) detergent suitable for washer-dryers and not exceeding the recommended dose.
- 5. Replace gasket if damaged: Remove the outer and inner retaining bands, pull off the old seal, and fit a new Neff/Bosch-compatible door gasket, aligning the drain holes at the bottom. Refit the bands securely.
When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable replacing the gasket or if leaks persist from other areas, seek professional help.
