Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Water may spill when opening the filter—have towels and a shallow tray ready.

Step-by-step checks:

• Access and clean the pump filter: Open the lower front access flap. Place a tray under the filter cap. Slowly unscrew the cap to let water drain. Remove any coins, lint, buttons, or debris from the filter and pump cavity.
• Check the pump impeller: With the filter removed, reach in and gently turn the impeller. It should rotate freely without grinding or excessive play. Remove any foreign objects.
• Inspect the drain hose: Check the hose from the rear of the machine to the standpipe or sink. Ensure it is not kinked, crushed, or blocked. Detach the hose and flush it through with water if necessary.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the filter cap securely, close the flap, and run a drain or spin-only program. If E03 persists, continue.
• Test the drain pump electrically: With the machine unplugged and rear or bottom panel removed, disconnect the pump wiring. Measure resistance across the pump terminals. An open circuit or very low resistance indicates a faulty pump.
• Replace the pump: If the pump is noisy, seized, or tests faulty, remove mounting screws and hose clamps, swap in a new Stoves-compatible drain pump, refit hoses and wiring, and test for leaks and proper drainage.

If the pump is good but never receives power, the main PCB or wiring harness may require professional diagnosis.
