• Insulation test (if equipped): With all wires removed from the heater, use a megohmmeter or insulation tester between each heater terminal and earth. Low resistance indicates earth leakage and a faulty heater.
• Replace the heater: If leakage is confirmed, remove and replace the heater with a Stoves-compatible element and gasket. Ensure correct seating to prevent leaks.

If the heater tests good and wiring is intact, the main control board or wiring harness may be shorting when the heater is energized. This should be diagnosed by a qualified technician.
