Possible Causes
Blocked condenser unit, Faulty moisture sensor bars, Wiring fault to moisture sensor, Control board sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal components.
Step-by-step checks:
- Clean condenser: If your Stoves combo has a removable condenser, open the access flap, slide out the condenser, and rinse thoroughly under running water to remove lint and detergent residue. Allow to drain and refit.
- Clean moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, locate the metal sensor strips (often near the door opening). Wipe them with a cloth dampened with white vinegar to remove fabric softener film that can insulate them.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the sensor bars to the control board for damage or loose connections.
If E12 persists after cleaning and checking wiring, the moisture sensing circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and should be tested by a professional.
