Possible Causes

Frequent low-temperature washes, Excess detergent and fabric softener residue, Standing water in door seal folds, Blocked drain or vent hoses

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use appropriate cleaning agents and ensure good ventilation when running cleaning cycles.

Step-by-step cleaning:

  • Run a maintenance wash: With the drum empty, run a 90°C cotton cycle using a proprietary washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (do not mix with bleach).
  • Clean door seal: Wipe the seal folds with a cloth and mild detergent or diluted bleach solution. Remove any visible mould or residue.
  • Clean dispenser drawer: Remove the drawer and soak in hot water. Scrub away mould and detergent buildup, especially in corners.
  • Leave door open: After each use, leave the door and dispenser drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent odours.
