Washer-dryer combo will not start; display shows E01 and door symbol flashes.

Safety first: Unplug the Vedette washer-dryer combo and close the water taps before any work. Never bypass the door lock for operation.

• Step 1 – Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Make sure no laundry is trapped between the door glass and gasket. Inspect the latch hook on the door for cracks or bending.
• Step 2 – Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try to start a short cycle. Sometimes the control board will clear a false E01 after a reset.
• Step 3 – Inspect door lock assembly: Remove the front clamp of the door gasket and gently pull back the gasket near the lock. Locate the door lock assembly on the cabinet front. Check for burnt smell, broken plastic, or loose connector. Reseat the wiring plug firmly.
• Step 4 – Test continuity (for advanced users): With the unit unplugged, remove the door lock assembly and test its terminals with a multimeter according to the wiring diagram (usually found behind the top cover). If the lock coil is open or the switch does not close when actuated, replace the door lock assembly.
• Step 5 – Control board check: If a known-good door lock still triggers E01, inspect the main control board (often located at the top rear). Look for burnt tracks or components. Replacement of the board is recommended to be done by a qualified technician.
