Possible Causes
Worn or broken drive belt, Faulty motor (open winding or worn brushes on universal motor types), Loose motor wiring connector, Defective motor control circuit on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing any panels. The drum and motor can move suddenly.
- Step 1 – Check for drum movement by hand: Open the door and rotate the drum manually. It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding.
- Step 2 – Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel. Verify that the belt is correctly seated on both the motor pulley and drum pulley. If the belt is off, frayed, or broken, replace it.
- Step 3 – Inspect motor connections: Check the motor plug for looseness or signs of overheating. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Step 4 – Motor test (advanced): If accessible, test motor windings for continuity with a multimeter. On brushed motors, inspect carbon brushes for wear (shorter than ~1 cm usually requires replacement).
- Step 5 – Replace components as needed: Fit a new Vedette-compatible drive belt or motor assembly if defective. If the motor and belt are good but E07 persists, the motor control circuit on the main board may be faulty and should be diagnosed by a professional.
