Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Sharp metal edges may be exposed when panels are removed.

• Step 1 – Listen for fan operation: Start a drying cycle and listen (with panels on) for the fan starting. If there is no airflow at the vent or condenser area, suspect the fan.
• Step 2 – Access fan assembly: Remove the top and rear panels. Locate the dryer fan housing, usually connected to the condenser or air duct.
• Step 3 – Inspect for obstructions: Check the blower wheel for lint buildup, socks, or other obstructions. Remove any debris and ensure the wheel spins freely.
• Step 4 – Test fan motor (advanced): With a multimeter, check continuity of the fan motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
• Step 5 – Replace fan motor if defective: Disconnect wiring, remove mounting screws, and install a new Vedette-compatible fan motor assembly. Reassemble ducts carefully to avoid air leaks.
• Step 6 – Control board: If the fan motor is good but never receives power, the dryer control circuit on the main board may be defective and should be evaluated by a professional.
