Possible Causes
Leaking door gasket, Loose or cracked drain hose, Leaking tub-to-pump hose, Faulty inlet valve or dispenser hose leaking into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps immediately. Do not continue using the machine until the leak is found and repaired.
- Step 1 – Inspect visible areas: Check around the door gasket for tears or deformation. Look at the rear hoses for drips or mineral tracks.
- Step 2 – Check base tray: Remove the lower front kick panel or tilt the machine slightly (with help) to see if water is in the base tray. Many Vedette combos have a float switch that triggers E13 when water collects here.
- Step 3 – Dry the base: Carefully soak up water with towels or a sponge. Allow the base to dry completely. This may temporarily clear the error but the source of the leak must still be fixed.
- Step 4 – Identify leak source: Run a short fill or rinse cycle while observing (panels removed). Look for drips from the door gasket, dispenser drawer, tub-to-pump hose, drain pump, or inlet valve connections.
- Step 5 – Repair or replace leaking parts: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or install a new door gasket or inlet valve as needed. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Step 6 – Final test: Once repaired and dry, run a full cycle and check for any further leaks. If E13 returns without visible leaks, the float switch or wiring may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
