Possible Causes

Open or shorted inlet valve coil, Loose wiring to inlet valve, Faulty main control board inlet relay, Burnt connector at valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps.

  • Step 1 – Visual check: Remove the top cover and inspect the inlet valve assembly where the hoses connect. Look for burnt connectors or discoloration.
  • Step 2 – Test valve coils (advanced): Disconnect the wiring plugs and measure resistance across each valve coil with a multimeter. An open circuit or very low resistance indicates a bad coil.
  • Step 3 – Replace inlet valve: If a coil is faulty, remove the mounting screws, disconnect internal hoses, and install a new Vedette-compatible inlet valve. Reconnect hoses and wiring securely.
  • Step 4 – Control board: If the valve tests good but never receives voltage during fill, the main control board may be defective and should be checked by a professional.
