Possible Causes
Water in base tray activating float switch, Stuck pump relay on main control board, Shorted wiring to pump, Faulty pressure switch misreporting water level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps.
- Step 1 – Check for leaks: Inspect the base tray for water (see E13). Dry completely and identify any leaks.
- Step 2 – Inspect pump wiring: Remove the rear or bottom panel and check the pump wiring harness for damage or shorts.
- Step 3 – Pressure switch test: Ensure the pressure switch is not stuck in the 'full' position by testing as described for E10.
- Step 4 – Control board relay: If no water is present and sensors are correct, the pump relay on the main board may be welded closed. Board replacement is usually required and should be done by a technician.
