How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Step 1 – Inspect gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber gasket all around for tears, holes, or deformation.
- Step 2 – Remove debris: Check the fold of the gasket for coins, hairpins, or other objects. Clean with a damp cloth.
- Step 3 – Check clamp: Ensure the outer metal or plastic clamp that holds the gasket to the front panel is secure. Refit if loose.
- Step 4 – Detergent use: Use only HE (high-efficiency) detergent and the recommended amount. Over-sudsing can cause leaks at the door.
- Step 5 – Replace gasket if damaged: Remove the outer and inner clamps, pull off the old gasket, and fit a new Vedette-compatible door seal, aligning the drain holes at the bottom. Reinstall clamps securely.
