Washer-dryer powers on but will not start any program; Start button beeps and nothing happens.

Safety first: Ensure the appliance is plugged into a grounded outlet and that the cord is undamaged.

• Step 1 – Check door and latch: Open and firmly close the door. Listen for the click of the latch. Inspect the latch hook for damage.
• Step 2 – Child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Deactivate the child lock according to the user manual (often by holding specific buttons for several seconds).
• Step 3 – Program reset: Turn the selector to Off (or standby), wait 30 seconds, then reselect a simple program and press Start.
• Step 4 – Button test: Try other buttons on the panel. If some do not respond, the user interface board or membrane may be faulty and require replacement.
• Step 5 – Door lock check: If the door symbol flashes but the lock never engages, inspect and possibly replace the door lock assembly as described for E01/E16.
