Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Bent door latch hook, Faulty door lock sensor contact, Loose wiring from door lock to PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not slam the door; glass can break. Unplug the washer before adjusting hinges or lock components.
- 1. Close door firmly: Open and close the door again, pressing at the handle area until a clear click is heard.
- 2. Inspect latch hook: Check the metal or plastic door latch hook on the door for bending or damage. If misaligned, gently adjust or replace.
- 3. Check for play in door: Lift the door slightly; excessive sagging indicates loose hinge screws. Tighten hinge screws on the cabinet side.
- 4. Inspect door lock wiring (advanced): Remove the front gasket clamp and pull back the gasket to access the door lock assembly. Ensure the connector is fully seated. If wires are broken or burnt, repair or replace the harness.
- 5. Replace door lock if needed: If the lock does not send a closed signal even when it physically locks, replace the door lock assembly.
