Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC temperature sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness between NTC and main PCB, Faulty main control board analog circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing internal components. Heating circuits can retain residual voltage.
- 1. Confirm symptom: Note if the washer fails to heat or ends cycles prematurely when hot water is selected.
- 2. Access NTC sensor: Remove the rear panel. The NTC temperature sensor is usually mounted in the heater bracket at the bottom of the tub or clipped into the outer tub wall.
- 3. Check connector: Ensure the NTC plug is fully seated and free of corrosion. Reseat the connector.
- 4. Test NTC (for technicians): With the washer unplugged, disconnect the NTC and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with Casarte specifications (commonly around 10–20 kΩ). If reading is near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open), replace the sensor.
- 5. Inspect wiring: Trace the harness from the NTC to the main PCB for cuts or pinched sections. Repair or replace as needed.
- 6. Replace NTC if faulty: Remove the old sensor and install a new Casarte-compatible NTC, ensuring it is fully inserted and sealed.
