Possible Causes

Faulty overflow sensor or float switch, Wiring issue between float switch and PCB, Blocked air chamber causing false overflow detection, Defective main control board input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water supply valves. Be prepared for water spillage when opening lower panels.

  • 1. Check for actual overflow: If the drum is overfilled, manually drain water using the emergency drain hose or by loosening the pump filter.
  • 2. Inspect base float switch: Remove the lower front panel or tilt the washer to access the base. Locate the float switch assembly. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by debris or scale.
  • 3. Clean base tray: Dry any water in the base tray and remove lint or detergent residue that may interfere with the float.
  • 4. Check wiring: Inspect the wires from the float switch to the main PCB for damage or loose connectors. Reseat connectors.
  • 5. Inspect air chamber (if equipped): Some models use an air chamber connected to the pressure sensor. Remove and clean the chamber if clogged with detergent sludge.
  • 6. Replace faulty float or sensor: If the float switch tests open/closed incorrectly (technician test), replace the float switch assembly.
