Washer displays E22 and may not start or may stop unexpectedly, often related to door lock timing

Safety first: Unplug the washer before attempting to free a jammed lock. Do not pry the door with excessive force.

• 1. Wait for auto-unlock: After the cycle ends or error appears, wait several minutes to see if the lock releases automatically.
• 2. Check gasket and latch area: Look for clothing or gasket folds trapped in the door area. Gently free any obstruction.
• 3. Power reset: Unplug the washer for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and try to open the door or start a new cycle.
• 4. Access emergency release (if equipped): Some Casarte models have a manual door release near the drain pump filter. Pull the release tab to open the door.
• 5. Inspect and replace lock (advanced): Remove the front gasket clamp and access the door lock assembly. Check for mechanical damage or burning. Replace the lock if it fails to lock/unlock reliably.
