Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray activating float switch, Loose tub-to-pump hose clamp, Damaged door gasket, Cracked outer tub or sump hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water supply valves immediately if a leak is suspected. Water on the floor can cause slipping and electrical hazards.
- 1. Inspect around the washer: Look for visible water under or around the machine. Mop up any standing water.
- 2. Tilt and check base tray (if accessible): Carefully tilt the washer slightly backward and look underneath. Many Casarte models have a leak detection float switch in the base tray. If water is present, dry the tray thoroughly with towels.
- 3. Check door gasket: Examine the door boot gasket for tears, holes, or objects stuck in the folds. Replace the gasket if damaged.
- 4. Inspect hoses and clamps: Remove the rear or front lower panel. Check the tub-to-pump hose, drain pump outlet hose, and inlet hoses for cracks or loose clamps. Tighten clamps and replace any leaking hoses.
- 5. Test for overflow: After drying and reassembling, run a short cycle while observing the machine. If water overfills the drum, the water level sensor or inlet valve may be faulty and should be checked (see E7 and E1 procedures).
- 6. Do not bypass safety: Never bypass the float switch or leak sensor; fix the leak source instead.
