Possible Causes
Faulty tachometer sensor, Loose drive belt, Worn motor brushes (on brushed motors), Control board speed regulation fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the rear panel or motor.
- Check load and balance: Ensure the load is not too small or too heavy and is evenly distributed. Run a spin-only cycle.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check that the belt is tight and not slipping. Replace if glazed, cracked, or stretched.
- Check motor (if brushed type): Inspect carbon brushes for wear. If they are shorter than manufacturer spec, replace both brushes.
- Inspect tachometer and wiring: As with E8, verify the tachometer sensor and wiring harness are intact and firmly connected.
- If mechanical parts are OK: A control board issue may be present. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
