Washer displays E30 and will not start or stops mid-cycle

Safety first: Unplug the washer before working on the door lock.

• Check door closure: Open and close the door several times, ensuring a firm latch. Look for play in the hinge.
• Inspect gasket: Ensure the door gasket is seated properly and not folded or deformed, which can prevent full closure.
• Access lock: Remove the front gasket clamp and access the door lock assembly. Inspect for cracks, heat damage, or loose connectors.
• Reseat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the wiring plug to the lock to clean contacts.
• Replace lock if intermittent: If E30 appears sporadically and physical inspection shows no other cause, replace the door lock assembly.
