Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring to NTC, Control board analog input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and allow any hot water to cool before working near the heater.
- Access NTC: Remove the rear panel. The NTC sensor is usually clipped into the heater bracket at the bottom of the tub.
- Inspect connector: Check for corrosion or loose fit. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Test NTC: Use a multimeter to measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with Hisense specifications (commonly around 20–30 kΩ at 25°C). If reading is near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open), replace the NTC.
- Check wiring: Follow the harness from NTC to the control board for damage. Repair or replace if needed.
- If NTC and wiring are OK: The main PCB may misread the sensor and require replacement.
