Possible Causes

Failed heating element, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Loose or burnt heater wiring, Defective main control board heater relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and ensure the tub is cool before working near the heater.

  • Confirm symptom: Run a hot wash program and check if the door glass warms up after 15–20 minutes. If not, heating is likely not occurring.
  • Access heater: On many Hisense front-loaders, the heater is located at the bottom rear of the tub, accessible from the rear panel. Remove the panel to expose the heater terminals.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the heater terminals and wiring harness for burns, corrosion, or loose connectors. Reseat or repair as needed.
  • Test heater element: With a multimeter set to ohms, measure resistance across the heater terminals. Typical values are 20–40 Ω. If open circuit or shorted to ground, replace the heater.
  • Check NTC sensor: The NTC is usually mounted in the heater bracket. Test its resistance at room temperature (commonly 20–30 kΩ). If reading is far off spec or does not change with temperature, replace the sensor.
  • If heater and NTC are OK: The main PCB or heater relay may be faulty. This repair is best handled by a qualified technician.
