Possible Causes

Blocked pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Air leak in pressure hose, Wiring issue between sensor and control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the top cover.

  • Access pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. Locate the round or rectangular pressure sensor connected to a small rubber hose from the tub.
  • Inspect hose: Check the pressure hose for kinks, cracks, or disconnection. Remove the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub to clear any soap residue or lint blockage.
  • Check for water in hose: If water is present in the hose, drain it and ensure the tub air chamber is not clogged with detergent buildup.
  • Reconnect securely: Refit the hose firmly on both the tub air chamber and the sensor. Ensure clamps are tight and there are no air leaks.
  • Test cycle: Plug the washer back in and run a rinse/spin cycle. If E6 persists, the pressure sensor or control board may be defective and require replacement.
