Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose tachometer magnet on motor shaft, Damaged motor wiring harness, Defective inverter/control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor or control board.
- Check drum rotation: Spin the drum by hand. If it is stiff or grinding, mechanical issues may be overloading the motor.
- Access motor: Remove the rear panel. For belt-drive models, remove the belt and then the motor mounting bolts. For direct-drive models, remove the rear rotor cover and rotor.
- Inspect tachometer: On many Hisense motors, the tachometer is a small sensor or coil at the rear of the motor. Ensure it is firmly attached and that the magnet on the shaft is intact.
- Check wiring: Inspect the motor harness from motor to control board for chafing, cuts, or loose connectors. Repair or replace as needed.
- Advanced testing: Use a multimeter to check tachometer coil resistance (typically a few hundred ohms). If open or shorted, replace the motor or tachometer assembly as supplied by Hisense.
- If all motor components test OK: The inverter or main PCB may be faulty and should be diagnosed and replaced by a qualified technician.
