Possible Causes
Stuck-open water inlet valve, Blocked or faulty pressure sensor, Siphoning due to incorrect drain hose installation, Control board not shutting off valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer immediately and close the water taps if water is still entering.
- Check drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height (usually 60–100 cm above floor) and not pushed too far into the standpipe. Incorrect installation can cause siphoning and confuse the level sensor.
- Test inlet valve: With the washer unplugged and taps open, observe if water continues to enter. If so, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect pressure hose and sensor: Remove the top cover, locate the pressure sensor and hose, and check for blockages, kinks, or disconnections. Clean and reseat as needed.
- Drain excess water: Use the emergency drain hose or pump filter at the front bottom to remove excess water before restarting.
- Run a test cycle: After corrections, run a short cycle and monitor the fill level. If E9 recurs, replace the inlet valve and/or pressure sensor. Persistent issues may indicate a faulty control board.
