Washer has a strong musty or moldy odor inside the drum

Safety first: Use only washing-machine-safe cleaners; do not mix chemicals.

• Run a drum clean cycle: Use the built-in tub clean program if available, with a washing machine cleaner or white vinegar (per manufacturer guidance).
• Clean gasket: Wipe the door seal folds with a cloth and mild detergent to remove slime and residue.
• Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mold and detergent buildup. Clean the housing as well.
• Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent odors.
