Possible Causes

Cracked tub-to-pump hose, Loose hose clamp on pump or tub, Leaking drain pump housing, Split inlet hose inside cabinet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when opening panels.

  • Identify leak location: Run a short cycle while observing the underside and rear (with panels removed) to see where water originates. Do not touch live parts.
  • Inspect sump hose: Check the large black hose from the bottom of the tub to the pump for cracks, pinholes, or loose clamps. Tighten clamps or replace the hose if damaged.
  • Check pump: Examine the pump body and seals for leaks. Replace the pump assembly if water seeps from the housing.
  • Verify internal inlet hoses: Inspect hoses from the inlet valve to the detergent drawer and from drawer to tub for splits or loose connections.
