Possible Causes

Intermittent drain pump operation, Loose pump wiring, Faulty pressure switch giving incorrect level, Control board logic fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the pump or pressure switch.

  • Check pump operation: Run a drain program and listen for the pump. If it runs intermittently or not at all, inspect the pump wiring and connector.
  • Clean pump filter: As described for E03, ensure the filter and impeller are clear.
  • Inspect pressure system: Verify the pressure hose and switch as described for E11.

If E17 continues after these checks, the main control board may not be coordinating drain and level correctly and may require replacement.
