Possible Causes
Partially blocked drain hose, Slow household drain standpipe, Weak drain pump, Foreign object intermittently blocking pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and be prepared for water spillage when opening the pump filter.
- Check external plumbing: Ensure the standpipe or sink where the washer drains is not blocked. A slow household drain can cause E18.
- Inspect and clean hose: Remove the drain hose from the standpipe and flush it with water to clear any buildup.
- Clean pump filter and housing: As per E03, remove and clean the filter and check the pump housing thoroughly.
If the drain path is clear but E18 persists, the pump may be weak and should be replaced.
