SMEG
Poor Spin Extraction
Washer leaves clothes very wet at the end of the cycle, even though it appears to have spun.

Possible Causes
Spin speed set too low, Partially blocked drain system, Worn motor brushes reducing spin speed, Slipping or stretched drive belt
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the rear panel or pump filter.
- Check spin settings: Confirm that the selected program uses a high enough spin speed and that the spin option is not disabled.
- Clean pump filter: Ensure the drain pump and filter are clear so water can be expelled quickly during spin.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check that the belt is tight and not glazed or cracked. Replace if loose or worn.
If the motor struggles to reach full speed or there is a burning smell, stop using the washer and have the motor and control system checked by a technician.
