Possible Causes
Worn or glazed drive belt, Misaligned motor or drum pulley, Contamination (detergent, oil) on belt or pulleys, Early-stage bearing wear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the rear panel.
- Inspect belt: Check for cracks, glazing, or frayed edges. Replace if worn.
- Clean pulleys: Wipe the motor and drum pulleys with a clean, dry cloth to remove any residue. Do not use lubricants on the belt or pulleys.
- Check alignment: Ensure the belt runs centrally on both pulleys and is not riding off the edge.
If squealing persists after belt replacement, further investigation of bearings and motor alignment is recommended.
