Possible Causes
Loose connection at drain pump, Intermittent pump motor failure, Foreign object occasionally blocking pump impeller, Faulty lid/door switch interrupting cycle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and be prepared for water when opening the pump filter.
- Clean pump filter thoroughly: Remove all debris and check the impeller spins freely.
- Check pump wiring: Inspect the pump connector and harness for loose or corroded contacts.
- Test multiple drains: Run several drain-only cycles to see if the fault is repeatable.
If the pump sometimes runs and sometimes does not, replacement of the drain pump is usually the most reliable fix.
