Possible Causes

Disconnected pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Water trapped in pressure hose, Control board analog input fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing covers.

  • 1. Check for residual water: Ensure the tub is empty. If water remains, manually drain via the pump filter or drain hose.
  • 2. Inspect pressure hose connection: Confirm the hose is firmly attached to both the tub air dome and the sensor. Reattach if loose.
  • 3. Clear the hose: Remove the hose and blow through it to remove trapped water or debris. Reinstall securely.
  • 4. Test the sensor: Measure sensor output according to Toshiba service data. Replace the sensor if readings are unstable or out of range.
  • 5. Control board check: If a new sensor does not resolve E31, the main PCB may have a faulty input circuit and should be replaced by a technician.
