Washer has a strong moldy or musty odor inside the drum.

Safety first: Use only washing machine-safe cleaners; do not mix bleach with other chemicals.

• 1. Run a drum clean cycle: Use the built-in tub clean program with a Toshiba-approved cleaner or washing machine descaler.
• 2. Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in diluted bleach or specialized cleaner. Remove all residue and standing water.
• 3. Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mold and detergent buildup. Clean the housing as well.
• 4. Improve ventilation: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow drying.
