Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Faulty door switch, Child lock enabled, Program not properly selected
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not bypass safety interlocks.
- 1. Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door or lid until you hear a click. Ensure no clothing is trapped in the seal.
- 2. Disable child lock: On many Toshiba models, press and hold the designated key combination (often two buttons) for 3–5 seconds to turn off child lock; refer to the user manual.
- 3. Confirm program selection: Select a standard wash program and press Start/Pause once. Avoid double-pressing which may pause the cycle.
- 4. Test door switch: If the lock indicator does not light, the door switch may be faulty. Replace the door lock assembly if it does not engage when starting a cycle.
