Possible Causes
Low system water pressure, Faulty water pressure switch or sensor, Air in system, Blocked filter or strainer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the unit to cool before opening any bleed valves. Protect nearby electrics from water.
- 1. Check pressure gauge: On models with a system gauge, ensure pressure is within Ferroli’s recommended range (typically around 1.0–1.5 bar when cold). Top up via the filling loop if low, following the user manual.
- 2. Bleed air: Airlocks can prevent proper circulation. Bleed radiators or high points in the system (for combi-type heaters) and then recheck pressure.
- 3. Clean strainers: Some Ferroli units have strainers on the return line or cold inlet. Isolate valves, remove strainers, and clean debris.
- 4. Check pressure switch/sensor: Inspect the wiring and connector. A technician can test continuity (switch) or voltage (sensor) and replace the component if faulty.
