Possible Causes
Faulty flow switch or sensor not detecting demand, Defective on/off or mode selector on Ferroli panel, Loose low-voltage wiring to sensors, PCB logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing covers.
- 1. Confirm demand: Open a hot water tap fully. Check if any indicator on the Ferroli display shows demand (tap icon, flame icon, etc.).
- 2. Flow sensor check: Clean and inspect the flow sensor/turbine as described earlier. If the PCB never sees flow, it will not start ignition.
- 3. Panel buttons: Ensure the appliance is not in standby or vacation mode. Try changing modes and temperatures to wake the control.
- 4. Wiring: Inspect low-voltage harnesses from sensors and switches to the PCB. Reseat connectors.
- 5. PCB replacement: If all inputs are correct but the board does not initiate a start sequence, a technician may need to replace the main PCB.
